So this week I real life turned into a Canadian. A Spanish-speaking one. Because not only did I find out that Tim Horton is a hockey player (there are Tim Horton restaurants LITERALLY EVERYWHERE), but I ate at his restaurant and I tried a Nanaimo bar and my life was changed. Also, since I went on exchanges with darling Sister Brookelle Tripp and did English work for a day, PEOPLE SAID EH TO ME. REPEATEDLY.
I thought it was a myth.
Pero, it's not.
Okay also I will title this section "The Miracle of President Burt" because picture this please, Hermana Kartchner and I, in the car, on the phone with our District Leader in slight shambles because of some really unfortunate things happening to a really lovely investigator that were entirely out of our control. And then all of a sudden we see President's name pop up on our phone EXACTLY when we said "ah we really just need to call president and get his help" and we pick up and he just says "Hi girls, I was just about to get on a ferry but then felt that I needed to call you two. What can I help you with?" and we died. Cause he is so incredibly inspired. Like, all the time. And out of 200 missionaries he has to keep track of he knew to call us at that exact moment.
Other highlights include teaching Rosemund, a woman from Haiti who has taken it upon herself to rhinestone EVERYTHING she owns. I sat on a bedazzled chair, I drank from a bedazzled cup, it was such an experience.
Plus the elders called us, in the middle of teaching this Costa Rican family, repeatedly until we finally picked up and I just hear HERMANA CURTIS HOW DO YOU SAY SEVERE NUT ALLERGY IN FRENCH and immediately I was taken back to the most shambles moment of my whole life when poor Micah and I had to rush Anneka to the infirmary at the French Open for the exact same reason ahhahahhah I died. But the elder lived. So todo esta bien.
I have to go but I am so happy!! And God is so good! And I JUST WISH I COULD EXPLAIN TO YOU ALL MY FEELINGS RIGHT NOW!!! AH!!!
