Canada has a ghetto too
Hi world! okay first of all i don't know if my sweet parents snuck in a note somewhere or how all of you knew but THANK YOU for the birthday emails! seriously so unexpected and MADE MY WEEK. three more days of teen fun everyone. i am going to prove that teen fun is still a thing on missions.
So we just got out of the TEMPLE which was the loveliest p-day surprise, it's darling and tiny and just what i needed. this week has been such an improvement from last week. about a million tender mercies and a million eye-openers.
First of all we continually find ourselves in whalley, and everytime my companion tells me i'm not allowed to go there after 4:30pm, and it terrifies her and the other sisters have started a competition for taking pictures of "heroin-sleepers" aka the guys fully asleep standing up on the side of the road because DRUGS ARE BAD FOR YOU! bless their sweet souls. super fun. there i am standing in between the african supermarket and manny's weed store and i'm just like "angels on my left and on my right hermana, esta bien." but don't stress nan, we live in a much nicer area. especially since as spanish sisters our area is huuuuuge and i essentially feel like we cover all of canada.
We go running every morning through the woods and i feel like i'm trail running up in AF canyon or something and i loooove it.
This week i made friends with some nice sikh men who suggested using shrooms to enlighten my mind and i was like "yeah BUT book of mormon????" and also was just listening to our efy music in the car when sweet laken quigley's voice comes on and i for real TEARED UP hearing her. made my week. other highlights include us sprinting from door to door in order to knock as many complexes as possible each afternoon. my favorite investigator in the whole world PAULA whose story i literally don't have time to tell right now, getting my british columbia driver's license GO TEAM.
Ah I HAVE NO TIME!!!!!!! but i love you people and i love your notes and i can literally feel your prayers so thank you thank you thank you.
also i left my camera in the car ugh. stay tuned for better pics next week.
good things are happening up here in canada everyone. some mornings i wake up and i'm like "what am i doing". but then i put my nametag on and i get moving and miracles find us again and again. D&C 67:10.
con mucho amor
