Hermana Cortez

I have things to do and lives to change so this will be real short, just know that every time i sit down at this computer to tell all you lovely people about my life i realize how lucky i am to be a world away (kinda), with a name tag on, just roaming about and talking to people about God everyday. in spanish. and sometimes hindi. except mostly when i'm trying to, you know, like, shake their entire understanding of god and earth and life and such to people who only speak hindi or punjabi i just point to my hindi book of mormon and then point to the sky and nod and smile repeatedly.

also, women's conference was the tender mercy of all tender mercies.

also, my ward + every latino in canada has renamed me "hermana cortez" because they superrrr struggle with the name curtis and now mi companera just introduces me as hermana cortez to newcomers and then they look at me all quizzical like "pero, she's white" and i'm just like "si, do you want to learn about Jesus Christ???"
